Tricia Kreitzer Death – Keystone Oaks School District Science Curriculum Leader Tricia Kreitzer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has sadly passed away. She died on Friday 3rd November 2023 leaving family, friends and colleague devastated. She was confirmed dead by Keystone Oaks Education Association through a Facebook post that says “It is with an extremely heavy heart to share the passing of our friend and KOEA colleague, Tricia Kreitzer. Our hearts are broken and her void within the Keystone Oaks School District will be felt by her colleagues, administration, former and current students forever”. The cause of her death is unknown.

Tricia, born on February 5, 1971, in Natrona Heights, was a beloved figure in her community. Her parents, John Kreitzer and Leah (Rodgers) Kreitzer, played a significant role in her upbringing in Natrona. After completing her education at Highlands High School in 1989, Tricia pursued her academic interests at Duquesne University, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and a Masters Degree in Education. With a passion for science that knew no bounds, Tricia dedicated nearly three decades of her life to the field of education.
For twenty-seven years, she served as an esteemed member of the Keystone Oaks High School faculty, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of her students. Her classroom was a hub of excitement, often filled with explosive demonstrations and vibrant tie-dye labs that sparked joy and curiosity among her students.
Beyond her professional achievements, Tricia found her greatest fulfillment in her cherished family and friends. Tricia’s community involvement extended beyond her family. As the former Treasurer and Director of Girls Hockey for the North Hills Amateur Hockey Association, she tirelessly advocated for the advancement of girls’ hockey in the Pittsburgh area. Her dedication and enthusiasm knew no limits, and she was an active member of the Eagles in New Kensington, where her contributions were greatly valued.

In addition to her parents listed above, Tricia is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, Sean Naylor, by her daughters, Madison and Miranda, and by countless family and friends. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
