Travis Smyl Death – A 25-year-old Goodridge man has allegedly died by suicide. The victim has been identified as Travis Smyl of Goodridge, Alberta also known to many as Travis Theodore Smyl. According to reports, Travis Theodore Smyl passed away after battling mental health. He was announced dead on Sunday, the 5th of November 2023.

Travis Smyl was born on August 19, 1998. He was a resident of Goodridge, Alberta. Travis was the beloved son of Kenny and Rachel Smyl. He was such a kind, big-hearted gentleman. Travis was a kind and gentle spirit who loved his family very much.

He is survived by his loving Parents, Kenny & Rachel; Sister, Danielle (Travis) Houle and their children, Jessie & his Godson, Fred; Brothers, Austin (Shaelyn Nahorney) & Garrett; Grandfather, Leonard Smyl; Godparents, Christine Ostapiw & Marc Michaud; numerous Uncles, Aunties & Cousins.

Travis was predeceased by his Grandmother, Leona Smyl; Memere & Pepere, Madeleine & Ted Michaud; and Uncle, Terry Ostapiw.
Travis Smyl Obituary
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jean de Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, Mallaig with Reverend Father Raldy Jhack Diaz as the Celebrant. Cremation to follow with inurnment in St. Anthony Roman Catholic Cemetery, Goodridge at a later date.
