A fatal collision occurred in Beaver Falls on Saturday, resulting in the death of a man. The crash, involving a car and an ATV, prompted the coroner’s presence at the scene late that night. The incident took place shortly before midnight near the vicinity of 24th Street and 8th Avenue.
According to Beaver County Coroner David Gabauer’s statement on Monday, Cody Vorderbruggen, aged 30 and a resident of Beaver Falls, was the casualty of the crash. The cause of death was attributed to blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and torso. The coroner ruled the death as accidental.
In a Facebook post on Monday, the White Township Volunteer Fire Department, located in Beaver Falls, acknowledged Vorderbruggen’s role as a firefighter on their team for several years.
“Cody enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, fire fighting and family among other activities,” the post read. “Cody will be missed at the Station and we offer our deepest condolences to Cody’s family.”
The crash remains under investigation.
