Lacrosse coach Tommy Smith, a resident of Norwalk, Connecticut was announced dead by those affected by his passing. He died yesterday morning, Friday, the 3rd of November 2023. Tommy made the program better, as a coach and as a mentor of young men, and he will be greatly missed.
So far, no official news on his cause of death has been released. Tommy was a bright light with spirit and passion for lacrosse. He always made the boys feel important and loved teaching. His laugh and his energy were contagious. Tommy was such a solid guy. Thoughts and prayers goes out to his friends and family during this difficult time.

Tommy was born in Manlius, New York, and lived in Norwalk, Connecticut. He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School. After high school, Tommy went on to study at the University of Virginia.
Tommy Smith, renowned for his exceptional skills and achievements during his time at the University of Virginia as a player, extended his passion for lacrosse to the Ridgefield Lacrosse & Eclipse Lacrosse program in 2021.
Instantaneously, he left an indelible mark on the players and their families, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, patience, and infectious enthusiasm for the sport. His innate ability to evoke laughter and create a joyful atmosphere was a testament to his charismatic and amiable nature.
Despite his significant accomplishments, Tommy remained remarkably humble and patient, demonstrating a remarkable level of modesty and an unwavering dedication to nurturing the talents of the team.
Alongside a select group of friends, he fostered a strong and genuine bond, fostering camaraderie both on and off the lacrosse field, creating countless cherished memories filled with laughter and camaraderie.
