Tim Stokes Death – Louisville Metro Police Department Retired Officer Tim Stokes has sadly passed away. He died on Tuesday 21st November 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his beloved family. He was announced dead on Facebook through a Facebook post that reads “Our Brother. Our Friend. Retired Sgt. Tim Stokes passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends this morning after battling pancreatic cancer”. She was a dedicated and hardworking man that was cherished by all that crossed path with him.

Tim Stokes Career

Tim dedicated his service to the Louisville community from June 2000 until his retirement in October 2020. Throughout this time, he played the roles of a leader, instructor, teacher, mentor, and friend to many. Tim’s deep commitment was evident in his passion for assisting individuals grappling with mental health challenges. Notably, he assumed the role of a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Instructor for the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD). In this capacity, he imparted his knowledge and expertise to hundreds of officers, not only from LMPD but also from various law enforcement departments across the Commonwealth.
