A 2017 Jeep Wrangler was travelling eastbound on U.S. Highway 136, approximately one mile west of Stanberry when it veered off the south side of the road.

Reports from MSHP indicate that the Jeep descended an embankment and collided with a field entrance, causing it to become airborne and overturn multiple times. Eventually, the vehicle came to a stop on its wheels. Tragically, the 13-year-old boy, a resident of Bethany, Missouri, was pronounced dead at 4:46 p.m. The driver, a 46-year-old male, and a 43-year-old female passenger sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
