Terri Belli was pronounced dead and Dan Rather announced her death to the public in a post made on his Facebook page today. Terri Belli was recognized in 2003 as having provided “Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast,” which was one of the categories for the News and Documentary Emmy Award. She was well known as the CBS Evening News journalist before the time of her death.
