The victim has been identified as Taliyah Watson. According to reports, Taliyah Watson, a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina was shot to death by 21-year-old Ashante Freeman. According to reports, Taliyah Watson died from injuries sustained in the shooting incident.

According to reports, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Sawyer Road at approximately 12:22 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
