Swan Creek WMA Shooting: 2 teens hurt at Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area in north Alabama

Swan Creek WMA Shooting Investigations: The Swan Creek WMA hunters community has called for prayers for the families of two teenagers who were shot and injured at Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area in north Alabama over the weekend. According to reports, law enforcement agencies in Tanner, AL are searching for a suspect who shot two teenagers at the Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area Saturday.

According to the father of one of the victims Josh Green, the incident happened at West Dike Rd around 7 A.M. According to the dedicated father, the shooter fled the scene after the incident. The victims were transported to the hospital and are expected to be survive.

My oldest stepson Jake was shot with a shotgun in the back of the head this morning while duck hunting at Swan Creek WMA between 6-7 AM. His friend was shot in the back. They are both going to be ok, after a minor surgery, Thank God. The shooter ran away and we are trying to find out who he was. If anyone has any info please contact LCSD or a game warden.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the incident. No suspect information has been released as of Monday morning. This is a developing story.

Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area is the only WMA in the state that allows the installation of waterfowl blinds for the entire season.
