Stony Rushing Death – Stony Rushing has passed away suddenly. On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, he was confirmed dead after a social media post by Union County Government was released, breaking the news that he tragically died after facing a health issues in the past year. According to reports, Stony D. Rushing had been battling cancer for a while prior to his tragic death.

“On behalf of the Union County Board of Commissioners and Chairman Stony D. Rushing’s family, we regretfully share that Chairman Rushing passed away this evening after a courageous battle with health issues over the past year. We were hopeful he would make a full recovery, so this certainly is a difficult time.”

Who was Stony Rushing?

Stony D. Rushing was a Chairman of Union County Board of Commissioners. Stony Rushing was a committed public servant and long-serving member of the Union County Board of Commissioners. Chairman Rushing loved Union County and was enthusiastic about helping this community. His services to Union County have been invaluable, and their influence will endure for generations to come.

He was born and in raised Monroe, North Carolina where he also lived until his time of death. He was married ot his lovely wife, Anne-Marie Rushing. Asides his tremendous work at County commissioner and President, he also served as Firearms Instructor.
