Steve Kroll Death – Steve Kroll Waco’s Fire Department is in a state of grief after the death of one of its own. Engineer Steve Kroll, who had been battling illness for some years, passed away on August 15, 2023, according to an announcement made by Waco Fire. Kroll, according to the agency, he died after been battling cancer for well over a year.
October of 1995 was the month when Kroll started working for the department. He had worked with the Waco Fire Department for close to 27 years at that point. Waco Fire honored Kroll’s memory by publishing a post on their social media accounts, in which they stated that he “Was, and still is, an inspiration to us all. We are going to miss him very much. During this difficult time, the department requested that the community keep Kroll’s family in their thoughts and prayers.

Since 1995, Engineer Steve Kroll has been a member of the Waco Fire Department and Waco Firefighters Local-478. More than a year ago, he was given a cancer diagnosis despite having been a firefighter for more than two decades. We shall miss Brother Kroll terribly, as he fought the sickness with every ounce of bravery and courage that a person is capable of mustering, and we are grateful for his service.
Everyone who ever met Steve will never get over the fact that he had such a contagious grin and hilarious sense of humor, not to mention how much he loved and took care in his golf game.
