Authorities said on Friday that deputies in central Florida who were investigating the murder of a lady who had plunged to her death into a lake from a highway bridge subsequently uncovered the bodies of her twin 5-year-old children inside her house.

On Friday morning, drivers in Seminole County, Florida, a suburb of Orlando, reported seeing a lady, age 31, depart the passenger side of a car and leap into the lake below a highway bridge. This prompted the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office to dispatch deputies to the location.

According to a press statement from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the woman’s corpse was recovered from the water with the assistance of local boaters, after which she was subsequently pronounced dead.

After acquiring the woman’s identify and discovering that she had twin children of the same age who were not in the vehicle, the deputies headed to the woman’s residence. The bodies of the twins were discovered by officers at the residence in Sanford, Florida.
