Erie Shooting Investigations – In connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old in the City of Erie on Tuesday, the police have charged a teenager with involuntary manslaughter in addition to two other juveniles about the incident. Involuntary manslaughter, two charges of aggravated assault, firearms offenses, possession of an instrument of crime, and reckless endangerment are the infractions that Shemek Clements, who is 17 years old, was charged with as an adult.
Two other individuals, both of whom are 17 years old, will be charged with juvenile allegations linked to firearms-related offenses. Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 400 block of Lighthouse Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
A gunshot wound to the neck was the cause of death for a guy who was 18 years old, according to the findings of an autopsy that was performed on Wednesday by the Erie County Coroner, Lyell Cook. Even as late Wednesday afternoon, his name had not been made public.
