Sheetz Shooting: Officer died, Blue Alert for suspects involved in Greensboro, NC

Greensboro Shooting Investigation: An officer has died following a shooting at Sheetz supermarket in Greensboro, NC Saturday. According to Greensboro Police Department, a blue alert has been issues following a deadly officer-involved shooting at Sheetz on Sandy Ridge Rd.

According to reports two suspect fled the scene in a Chevrolet Equinox with a  North Carolina Tag KKA-4332. The department has urged motorists to seek alternative routes following the incident.

GDP continues to ask vehicles to find an alternate route near the Sheetz on Sandy Ridge Road. More information will be released at an appropriate time.

Officer down: Greensboro Police officer has been shot and killed. The Greensboro Police Department NC issued a “Blue Alert” after a watch commander officer was shot and killed Saturday night in Greensboro.

Police said the shooting happened at a Sheetz located on the 3200 block of Sandy Ridge Road in Greensboro. According to police, the two suspects are two black men in their early 20s. One was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, black shoes and a green and gray toboggan. The second suspect was last seen wearing a jean jacket with fur, gray sweatpants and tennis shoes. The blue alert has been cancelled.
