Trepp, LLC has sadly passed away. She died unexpectedly on January 5, 2024, at the age of 48. She was announced dead by her colleague in a statement through a GoFundMe page that read “Our cherished colleague and friend, Shari Linnick, passed away on January 5, 2024. A beautiful light has gone out.”
Who was Shari Linnick?
Shari Linnick held the positions of Adjunct Professor of Capital Markets in the Master of Real Estate Programme at NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate and Vice President in the Client Services group of Trepp, LLC. With over 15 years of experience, she possesses a wealth of knowledge in commercial real estate, encompassing CMBS, real estate capital markets, financial analysis and investment, leases and sales, and brokerage.
In addition to being a past president and board member of CREW NY, Linnick was also involved in the New York chapter of CREW Network, New York Commercial Real Estate Women (NYCREW). She has been a member of the Young Alumni Leadership Circle since 2006 and served as a mentor in the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate Mentorship Programme from 2006 to 2008.

Moreover, Linnick has been the chair of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) Education Committee since 2013 and co-chaired the Women’s Real Estate Network (WREN) at the Schack Institute from 2005 to 2006. Linnick graduated from the University of Michigan School of Music with a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree and the NYU Schack Real Estate Institute with a Master’s in Real Estate Finance. As of right now, she lives in Brooklyn, New York.
