Seven Oaks Mall Shooting: 25-year-old killed outside Best Buy at Seven Oaks Mall in Abbotsford

Abbotsford Shooting Investigations: Abbotsford Police say a 25-year-old man has died after a shooting at Seven Oaks Mall Saturday night. I.H.I.T. were deployed to Abbotsford for a reported shooting in mall parking lot. Officers located a man with severe gunshot wounds. He passed away at the scene.

Today, January 20th, 2024, at 5:51 p.m., Patrol officers of the Abbotsford Police Department responded to a parking lot within the 32900 block of South Fraser Way, Abbotsford, BC, for a reported shooting.

Upon attendance at the scene, officers located a 25-year-old male with serious and life-threatening injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. First aid was immediately provided, however, the victim succumbed to the injuries.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages, with early indications suggesting this incident is targeted. AbbyPD has informed the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (I.H.I.T.), which has since been deployed.

The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit will be transitioning this investigation to I.H.I.T., with the I.H.I.T. media team providing further updates. Anyone with information about this incident, dashcam footage or CCTV from the area is asked to call the I.H.I.T. Infoline at 1-877-551-4448.
