Seth Poling Death – Seth Poling, the former Landman at Percheron, LLC has tragically passed away. Seth Poling, a resident of Morgantown, West Virginia died this past weekend after a long and courageous battle with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was announced dead through publications shared by his family member and friends. Seth was a man with a strong will and a quick wit, but many would argue that the most memorable part of him was his big heart. Thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
Seth Poling released a statement regarding his fight with ALS before his passing. He wrote, “There is a beginning and end to every story; this is the end of my story, but this is not goodbye; it is a see you later. In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years. Friends and family, THANK YOU. Please continue my fight to #EndALS.” Seth has ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He had symptoms of ALS for 7.5 years and he was officially diagnosed with ALS in June 2017.

Cory Seth Poling, widely known as Seth Poling, hails from Buckhannon, West Virginia, where he spent his formative years before settling in Morgantown. He completed his education at Buckhannon-Upshur High School and pursued further studies in Business at Fairmont State University and West Virginia University. Seth garnered professional experience as a Landman/Leasing Agent/Abstractor at both Honor Resources Company and Percheron, LLC.
Seth often reflects on his move to Morgantown as a pivotal decision that profoundly impacted his life, as it ultimately led him to encounter the love of his life. Approximately a decade ago, Seth crossed paths with his now-wife, Erika, thanks to mutual friends. Despite numerous attempts to woo her, Erika couldn’t resist Seth’s charming personality and captivating appearance, eventually agreeing to embark on a date with him. But beyond the playful banter, Erika and Seth officially began their relationship at the onset of 2014.
After a 15-month courtship, they embraced their engagement and tied the knot on August 20, 2016. Today, they cherish their roles as parents to two delightful sons, Liam Seth Poling and Bayler Michael Poling. Liam, at the age of 3.5, and Bayler, at 2.5, fill their lives with joy and wonder. Completing their loving household is a beloved family dog named Brier. Despite the challenges of having a terminal illness, Seth and Erika lead the typical life of a young couple in their thirties, nurturing their two energetic children under the age of four.
