Seal Beach Death – Police are investigating a tragic incident that happened on Wednesday morning. According to reports, a man and a woman were found dead during a welfare check at a Seal Beach home in what appeared to be a murder-suicide. Their bodies were found on Wednesday morning.
The bodies were found at a residence in the 600 block of Ocean Boulevard, situated just east of the San Gabriel River. The alert came from a relative residing outside California, who contacted the police to report concerns about their brother’s interactions with their elderly mother.
Law enforcement arrived at the residence a little past 8:30 a.m., attempting to establish communication with those inside without success. Upon locating an unlocked door, the officers entered the home and discovered the bodies of the two individuals.
Authorities, refraining from immediately disclosing the precise ages of the deceased, affirmed that both were elderly. The police neither revealed the identities of the individuals nor definitively confirmed any familial relationship between them.
“This is an active investigation and I can not confirm or elaborate on any other details,” SBPD spokesperson Lt. Julia Clasby told the Long Beach Post.

According to investigators, an argument between Moore and Jensen escalated, leading to Moore allegedly shooting Jensen before turning the gun on himself. Responding officers swiftly established a barricade between Ocean and Central avenues, advising residents to secure their doors and remain indoors, with some being asked to evacuate.
The tense standoff, lasting over six hours, came to an end when Orange County Sheriff’s Department SWAT officers entered the third-floor apartment before 2:30 a.m. on Monday. Inside, they discovered the lifeless bodies of Moore and Jensen. Authorities clarified that there are no outstanding suspects in the case. As part of the investigation, an undercover Dodge Charger police cruiser was towed from the apartment complex, marking the tragic conclusion of this deeply unfortunate and sorrowful incident.
