Scott Bodnarchuk Death – Scott Bodnarchuk, a resident of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and the father of Canadian ice hockey defenceman Andrew Bodnarchuk passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, June 5, 2023. He was popularly known as ‘Scotty Buffalo’ He was confirmed dead on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. “Farewell to one of the best. RIP Scott Bodnarchuk. Scotty was one of the best radio salespeople I have ever worked with. His enthusiasm and positive attitude were infectious.”
Who was Scott Bodnarchuk?
Phyllis Marie Bodnarchuk and the late Jerry Alexander Bodnarchuk were his devoted parents when he was born on January 9th, 1960 in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. He was employed at Chum Radio Sales. He was a devoted and thoughtful brother to his siblings, Beth, Bill, and Gerry. He was the proud father of Stephanie Bodnarchuk, Andrew Bodnarchuk, and Steven Bodnarchuk in addition to being a loving husband to Valerie. Scott’s children and grandchildren were his biggest sources of pride. He enjoyed making them the BEST pancakes on Saturday mornings.
Scott loved making fun of the misadventures Stephanie would have with her patients and animals. Over the years, Scott was frequently seen coaching the upcoming big hit from behind the bench or encouraging Andy and Steven in the locker room. His influence on many individuals, both personally and professionally, went far beyond hockey players; Scott was a father figure to many more people than just his own children. His love of golf, crib, and the continuing argument over who was cheating were the only things that could rival his devotion to his family.
Because of his enthusiasm for radio sales, he was the center of attention in the office and frequently boasted that “he never worked a day in his life.” People left Scott’s grin, friendliness, and embracing hugs feeling loved and as if they cared. He truly was a blessing. He will always be remembered for his dedication to his career, for being a wonderful husband and the world’s greatest father, for his love of adventure and fun, and for having truly lived an unbelievable life full of priceless experiences and tales.
Scott Bodnarchuk’s obituary and funeral arrangements
Scott Bodnarchuk’s funeral service will be announced by the family at a later date. In an effort to honor Scott’s legacy of selflessness, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the charity of your choice. There will be a celebration of life held for Scott at Glen Arbour Golf Course, on June 16, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm. Individuals are encouraged to wear bright colors as we celebrate Scott’s life.
