Scott Balsar, Basketball Coach died after car accident in Bomaderry

Scott Balsar Death – Scott Balsar, a local basketball coaching legend passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 10, in a motor vehicle accident that happened in Bomaderry. Scott gave so much as President of Bomaderry Public School P&C and to the students there as coach as well.

Fiona Phillips MP, NSW South Coast paradise said in Balsar and his team make pretty darn good sausage sandwiches – always for a great cause. RIP Scott and deepest condolences to Scott’s family and all that knew Scott.

On Wednesday evening, at approximately 8:15 o’clock, a collision that involved a pickup truck and another vehicle took place on Meroo Road in Bomaderry. Because of injuries to his head and pelvis, a little kid who was a passenger in the vehicle and was of primary school age was transported by helicopter to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

It was determined that Scott Balsar, the male driver of the ute, had sustained chest injuries and was transported to Shoalhaven Hospital. Meanwhile, his female passenger, who was also in her 50s, was transported to Wollongong Hospital with chest and back injuries. Scott Balsar was always a man of high integrity, looking out for others and making sure all were welcome. He was an exceptional human being.
