Savannah Soto Death: The bodies of a pregnant teen and her boyfriend who went missing over the weekend have been discovered. According to reports, the two were found deceased from an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday. On Christmas Day, the Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR Alert for Savannah Soto. She was last seen with her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, at 2 p.m. on December 22 in the 6000 block of Grissom Road in Leon Valley.

Soto was last seen driving a 2013 gray Kia Optima, according to DPS. Around 6 p.m., Police Chief William McManus spoke with Soto’s family before addressing the media. He described the crime scene as “perplexing.” McManus stated that two people were discovered dead in the Kia previously identified as Guerra’s at an apartment building on the Northwest Side.

When Savanah Nicole Soto failed to appear at the hospital on Saturday to begin labor, she was a week past her due date. Matthew Guerra was also reported missing. After a two-day search, a pregnant 18-year-old and her boyfriend were discovered dead Tuesday afternoon in San Antonio’s Medical Center neighborhood.

The Leon Valley Police Department had both classified as missing and was looking into leads to find them. The family of Matthew Guerra reported that authorities informed them that both Matthew and pregnant Savanah Nicole Soto were found dead inside a vehicle.”

The deaths were discovered Tuesday afternoon when someone notified the family that the automobile had been discovered in an apartment complex parking lot in northwest San Antonio. The family called San Antonio Police, who responded.

McManus stated that officers believed the car had been parked in the lot for three to four days. On Monday, Leon Valley Police issued a CLEAR Alert for Savanah, whose baby was a week late when she was set to be induced at the hospital on Saturday night. She never showed up. Savanah’s mother stated that she had not heard from her daughter since Friday. She was last seen at the Valencia Lofts condominiums off Grissom Road in Leon Valley at 2 p.m. Friday.

Matthew Guerra was also reported missing by Leon Valley Police early Tuesday afternoon. According to an officer, Guerra’s family first called San Antonio Police, who then referred the case to Leon Valley. On Christmas Eve, Savanah Soto’s family planned a search. They met at the Leon Valley apartment complex where she was last seen. Family and friends then drove around the neighborhood.

Cordova stated that her daughter was ready to become a mother. She had finished the nursery and intended to give birth in the delivery room with her mother. Cordova, however, was unable to contact her daughter by Saturday afternoon. She decided to pay her a visit to her flat.

The Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue (CLEAR) Alert program supports law enforcement in locating and rescuing missing, kidnapped, or abducted adults or individuals at immediate risk of injury or death, as well as assisting in the identification of probable suspects.
