He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post made on Thursday by his daughter saying “Rudy Patek, the light and joy in our life; family and friend to many, went to be with the Lord yesterday, June 7, 2023”. He was always ready to offer a helpful hand, whether it was supporting a coworker on a project or volunteering his time for a worthy cause. He was always willing to provide a helping hand. His lack of self-centeredness and eagerness to sacrifice all for the sake of others is genuinely admirable.

Visitation will be on Sunday, 6/11/23 from 4-6 pm at Shiner Funeral Home 520 N. Ave. C Shiner, TX 77984. Rosary will be on Monday, 6/12/2023 at 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church-Praha 821 FM 1295 Flatonia, TX 78941. Burial will follow at Shiner Cemetery, followed by a meal at Shiner KC Hall.
