Rose Kerwin Missing: Samantha Osborne and Marcel Lapensee charged with murder after body found in Pakenham, Ont Mississippi River

Rose Kerwin Missing: Two people have been charged with first-degree murder by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) following the death of Rose Kerwin, whose corpse was discovered in a river close to Pakenham, Ontario, in November. One day after a body was discovered in the Mississippi River, on November 13, the 50-year-old was reported missing.

Kerwin’s body was recognized by the police, who at the time thought her death was suspicious. About Kerwin’s demise, Marcel Lapensee, 56, of Carleton Place, Ontario, and Samantha Osborne, 23, of Iroquois, Ontario have been charged with first-degree murder, according to a news release issued by the OPP on Tuesday. They had a bail hearing scheduled for Tuesday in court.

In addition to Kerwin’s car, a blue 2013 Mazda GX sedan, being reported missing, OPP earlier stated that Kerwin was last seen in Carleton Place. Lapensee and Osborne were charged with further counts of sexual assault, forcible imprisonment, and making threats against another victim, according to the OPP on Tuesday. Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate how Rose died.
