Ronald Hansen Death – The collision between a pickup truck and a train that occurred early on Friday morning in Dodge County claimed the life of Ronald Hansen Sr., 67, who was from Fremont. According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call for an accident involving a train and a vehicle near the intersection of Shoreline Drive and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks at approximately 8:40 in the morning.
The deputy who rushed to the site, along with members of the North Bend Volunteer Fire Department, discovered that Hansen Sr., the vehicle’s occupant, had passed away. According to the findings of the investigation, a maroon 2017 Dodge Ram that was heading southbound on Shoreline Drive was involved in a collision with a Union Pacific train that was heading westbound at the intersection of the crossing.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Hansen had his seat belt on at the time of the accident, and all of the vehicle’s airbags went off. According to the investigators, neither speed nor alcohol consumption were factors in the accident. The inquiry into the crash is still ongoing.
The railroad crossing may be found approximately one mile to the west of North Bend and one mile to the south of Platte River Road, also known as Old Highway 30.
