Roger Leadbeater died after sustaining severe injuries from the fatal stabbing that happened in in Sheffield on August 9, 2023. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the tragic incident that happened in Sheffield.
Roger Leadbeater stabbed to death
On Wednesday evening in Westfield, a man named Roger, who was 74 years old, was fatally stabbed while walking his springer spaniel named Max through a section of parkland located off of Shortbrook Close. A man was discovered just before 11 o’clock at night with major stab wounds to his chest, and the authorities were called to the scene shortly before that time. The individual was sadly confirmed dead by the ambulance service, which also responded to the incident.
A woman, age 32, was taken into custody after being detained on suspicion of murder and is still being held there. Today (August 11), the individual has been recognised as Roger, and law enforcement officials are providing assistance to members of Roger’s family.
They have paid tribute to their cherished one and have made a photograph of Roger available to the public. The family member stated that “Roger was a 74-year-old man out walking his beloved dog, Max, when his life was taken in the most brutal and cruel way. Even as Roger lay fatally injured, Max never left his side. Roger doted on his family and was a good, hard working and decent man. Even at 74, he still worked for Sheffield City Council, driving children to school with special needs. As a family, we can barely believe such a kind, gentle soul could be take in such a way.”
