Robert Trevor Green Death – The Flora and Louisville, Illinois communities are mourning the tragic death of a teenager who passed away in a car accident that also injured another teen Sunday morning. 17-year-old Flora, Illinois teenager died in a single vehicle crash that happened on the Locust Creek Bridge. Law enforcement agencies were called to the scene of the crash on the Illinois State Route 127 on Sunday morning.
According to the Washington County Coroners Office, the incident happened at approximately :0 A.M., October 22, 2023. Officials were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle crash on Illinois State Route 127 on the Locust Creek Bridge. Robert Trevor Green, 17 of Flora, Illinois was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:23 a.m. by Washington County Coroner Mark Styninger.
Green was the restrained driver of a KIA sedan which was travelling north on Route 127 when the car suddenly veered off the roadway and proceeded on the west side of the guard rail before becoming air born when it reached Locust Creek and then struck the north side of the creek embankment.
Green was extricated from the vehicle by the Nashville Fire Department along with another male passenger which was transported from the scene to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Toxicology samples were obtained by Coroner Styninger.
Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction unit, Washington County Ambulance Service, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Nashville Fire Department, and Washington County EMS, and the Washington County Coroner responded to the scene of the incident. Law enforcement agencies are working to determine if alcohol is a factor in the accident. No further information will be available at this time.
