Robert Rea Salem Ohio found dead in his home alongside his wife Peggy Rea, who died in 2017

Robert Rea Death – Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin investigated the unusual death of Robert Rea, owner of Nettle Creek Farm & Nursery. When called to the property, officers found Robert dead in the family home and, upon the son’s information, found another body in the family RV.

The deceased female believed to be Robert’s wife, Peggy, had reportedly died six years prior. The son, John Rea, explained that his father had died on December 31, and he had been living with Peggy’s remains since she died in 2017. The bodies were found well-preserved, with Peggy’s body surrounded by herbs.

The Rea family, described as devout Quakers, wanted to be buried simultaneously. While Robert’s cause of death was considered natural, further investigations, including DNA testing, are ongoing to determine any potential charges.

The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Robert Rea.
