Indian Harbor Shooting: Richard Flatt and Hannah Cole of Granbury dead following Hood County murder-suicide
Richard Flatt and Hannah Cole Death – Two Granbury citizens lost their lives in an Indian Harbor shooting incident that is presently being looked into by the Hood County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to a complaint of two persons who had been shot around the 1300 block of Chippewa Trail in the Indian Harbor community around 7:41 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, according to an HCSO news release.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered that a white male, known as Granbury resident Richard Don Flatt, 21, had been shot and was dead, and a white female, identified as Granbury resident Hannah Renae Cole, 19, had been wounded several times but was still alive. Cole received medical attention, but the news statement says that Lake Granbury Medical Center later declared her dead.
According to the news release, the Hood County Sheriff’s Office is aware that the two subjects know one another and that one of them used to reside in the area where the incident took place. The shooting’s circumstances, however, are still being looked into and are not currently known. The HCSO reports that a firearm was found at the site and that there are no unidentified suspects in this incident.
Richard Flatt and Hannah Cole’s obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by the family at a later.
