Rene Bedward Death – Rene Bedward, the Former Post Production Assistant at Lionsgate has passed away. Actor Rene Bedward affectionately known to many as “The beast” a longtime resident of Toronto, Ontario was announced dead today, Monday, the 7th of August 2023. So far, no official news on his cause of death has been released. He died at the age of 46.

About Rene Bedward

Rene Bedward was born in Jamestown, Toronto in 1976. Raised by his mother and father alongside his infant sister, this family was situated in Government housing at the North end of Toronto. His parents, originally from Jamaica, had met in Toronto.

From an early age, Rene held a strong desire to become an actor. During his elementary school years at Elmbank Elementary, he embraced the role of the class clown, displaying his knack for making people laugh and pushing boundaries.

Although he initially aimed to become a professional basketball player, the violence in his neighborhood put a stop to that dream. Concerned about his safety amidst gun violence and drug dealing, his parents steered him away from spending too much time outside. Instead, they encouraged his interests by enrolling him in piano and drum lessons.

Career

Determined to make his mark in the acting world, Rene took a bold step after graduating high school. He left for New York City, also known as the Big Apple, with a deep belief in his potential. Arriving there without a clear plan, he even spent his first night sleeping at Grand Central Station. Despite the uncertainty, he was resolute in pursuing an acting career in the city renowned for turning dreams into reality.

After numerous auditions for commercials, modelling gigs, and stand-in roles, Rene eventually found employment at Fat Jams, a mixed tape music store on Fulton St, Brooklyn. This job helped him stay financially afloat. Yet, his journey into the world of film proved to be challenging, draining, and discouraging.

Obstacles such as varying skill levels and his non-American citizenship hindered his progress in the industry. Over four years, his sense of hopelessness and defeat grew. Missing his home, he eventually decided to return to Toronto in 2002, with a resolve to formulate a new plan.

Rene’s aspiration of establishing a career in acting took a backseat. He decided to embrace a fresh direction, one that tapped into his other creative abilities. He enrolled in the Graphic Design Program at Humber College.

The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Rene Bedward.
