Troy MacRae Education and Career
The youngest of John David MacRae and Anne Barbro Normann’s children, Troy MacRae, was brought into the world on October 27, 1986, in the city of London, in the province of Ontario. The most formative years of his life were spent in Carlisle, Ontario, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Throughout his time at Waterdown District High School, Troy demonstrated his interest for the sport of hockey, a passion that he carried with him into his time at the university level. At the same time that he was working toward a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, he was also offering his abilities as a trainer to the varsity hockey team.
Conestoga College provided Troy with further training after he had completed his undergraduate studies. It was at this time that he realized that becoming a paramedic was his true calling. It was with great pride that he joined the ranks of the Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services, as he had already made a profound commitment to serving his community.
