Ray Higgins Death – Papillion Police Department Officer Ray Higgins of Nebraska has sadly passed away. He died on Monday 3rd July 2023 while off duty leaving behind his beloved family, friends and the entirety of the police department in shock. He was announced dead by Papillion Police Department in a post that reads “We are heartbroken to share that Lt. Ray Higgins passed away unexpectedly early this morning. Ray served the Papillion Police Department and City of Papillion for more than 34 years”. No cause of death was stated.

He attended and graduated from Papillion La Vista High School in 1984, having spent his entire childhood in the town of Papillion. Higgins was a volunteer with the fire departments of both Springfield and Papillion at one point in his life.
