UPDATE: Philadelphia Shooting Today – A shooting occurred in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia on July 3, 2023, leaving four people dead and eight others wounded. At least two of those shot, according to the police, were children. Police said that at around 8:30 p.m., they were called to the area of 56th Street and Chester Avenue in response to a complaint of multiple shootings. A young person was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia by police, who also transported a number of victims to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. Shortly after the shooting in the 1800 block of Frazier Street, police reported they had detained a suspect.
