Peter Strube Death – Peter Strube passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 11, he was a retired Lieutenant Colonel, CRNA, assistant professor, board preparation expert, entrepreneur, and professional speaker, Peter Strube embodied a spirit of service, knowledge, and entrepreneurship.
According to Tammy Willman, Peter Strube made significant contributions as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, sharing expertise as an assistant professor and guiding countless individuals through board preparation with a career marked by dedication to both military service and healthcare. Their academic spirit shone bright, leaving a lasting impact on ventures they passionately pursued in anesthesia.
Beyond professional achievements, Pete was cherished for his enormous heart and infectious laughter. His warm personality and genuine care for others created lasting connections and left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Who is Peter Strube?
Peter D. Strube earned a master’s degree in anesthesia from St. Mary’s University in 2006 and is a certified registered nurse (CRNA). His undergraduate degree was earned in Decorah, Iowa, from Luther College. June of 2017 marked the completion of his Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia (DNAP) degree, and in December of 2020, he earned his MBA. Lieutenant Colonel Strube has resigned from the Nurse Corps of the United States Army. Dr. Strube has been deployed and mobilized four times in the course of ongoing military operations, with his service encompassing Iraq and Afghanistan.
At Newman University, Peter is presently an assistant professor and assistant program director. Trollway Anesthesia, which Peter owns and administers, provides coverage for a number of critical access hospitals. Scholarly publications and training programs include his work. He delivers presentations on a professional level at both domestic and international levels. Peter also provides anesthesia board tutoring for nurse anesthesia residents who are at risk. His tenure as AANA Region 3 Director and election to the Wisconsin state association council are both noteworthy accomplishments. As a member of the Mount Horeb Board of Education, a Commissioner on the Dane County Ethics Board, and a court-appointed mentor for veterans in crisis, he has contributed to his community.
