Peter was a kind and generous man who was devoted to his wife, children, and extended family. He also consistently exhibited heartfelt compassion for others, especially those less fortunate. His impact on the city of San Diego and the baseball world will be felt for generations. His generous spirit is now firmly embedded in the fabric of the Padres. Although he was our Chairman and owner, Peter was at his core a Padres fan. He will be dearly missed.”

Peter Seidler was a successful American entrepreneur. He served as the chairman of the board for the Major League Baseball team the San Diego Padres. Seidler was the nephew of Peter O’Malley in addition to being the grandson of Walter O’Malley.He attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree in finance and the University of California, Los Angeles for his master’s degree in business administration.
He became a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity while he was a student at UVA.
