Parris Kelvey Death: A 24-year-old British woman passed away after a long battle with a rare disease. Parris Kelvey died Monday from Pulmonary Hypertension a condition she was diagnosed with at age 12. According to Parris, Pulmonary hypertension is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in one’s lungs and the right side of the heart. One form of pulmonary hypertension is called pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
The disease leaves its victim’s blood vessels narrowed, blocked, or destroyed. Parris on herself to raise awareness for Pulmonary Hypertension. She wrote; “Had it since I was 12 and now I am 24 I am celebrating my 12th year fighting this illness for all those who have lost their battle.”
In May, Paris shared a picture of her enlarged heart; “how big my right side of my heart is compared to my left and how weak it is, this is proof of how weak Pulmonary Hypertension can make your heart and this disease does NOT have a cure…. the only thing is a transplant which not everyone can have. I will raise awareness for this condition until I take my last breath Not many people know about it and I feel they need to.”
Community members described Parris as a strong resilient woman who never allowed her condition to stop her. Parris who always considered her mother (predeceased) as her best friend says she was born by a figter and will continue to fight the illness.
