Owen Fudge Death – Owen Fudge, a resident of Clinton, Louisiana, and a student of Silliman Institute passed away tragically on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023. He was confirmed dead by his beloved coach on Thursday, June 8th, 2023, through a social media statement that read “Today I woke up to news a coach never wants to hear. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Owen you were likely impacted by him. He was that guy. He was genuine, competitive, humble, and had a servant’s heart.”
What was Owen Fudge’s cause of death?
The investigation into a single-vehicle incident on LA 10 west of LA 961 in East Feliciana Parish was started by troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, soon after 9:30 p.m. Ultimately, Owen Fudge, 16, of Ethel perished in the collision. According to the initial inquiry, Fudge was traveling fast on LA 10 in the west. Fudge ran off the road and into a tree for unknown reasons after failing to navigate a left-hand turn.
Fudge sustained fatal injuries in the collision despite being fully strapped at the time, and he was declared dead there. Although there is no indication of impairment, a typical toxicological sample was collected for research. This collision is still being looked into.
Who was Owen Fudge?
Owen Bartlett Fudge was born on April 23, 2007, to his beloved parents Ashley Fudge and Michael Dellafiora. He was a loving brother to Elliot, Cannon, John Ivy, Weston, and the late Brighton. He was loved and cherished by his grandparents Sandy and Barry Phares, Taura, and Joey Fudge, and Stephanie and James Dellafiora. He was a student of Silliman Institute and was listed on their baseball and football rosters. He was a member of Silliman Boys Athletics.
Owen showed the most sincere love, goodness, and grace for his family, and friends, as well as strangers and rivals. He constantly showed a servant’s heart by being the first to give assistance and the last to voice dissatisfaction. He always strived for excellence in all he did. His intelligence was unparalleled and he was mature beyond his years.
Owen excelled in school, was a superb athlete, and was competitive in all facets of his life. He was always a leader, both on and off the field, and dedicated to investing the time and effort necessary to learn how to be the greatest in whatever he did. The emptiness created by Owen’s passing can never be replaced because of how unconditionally and sincerely he loved his family and friends. His brothers, relatives, teammates, and every individual he has touched in life will continue to carry on his legacy.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Feliciana Baptist Church in Clinton from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson.
