He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post that says “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must inform our greater CEMA family of the passing of young Oscar Anderson aged 16 years who passed away on Tuesday. He was surrounded by family and passed quietly.

The goal of the fundraiser was set to raise the sum of $8,000, so far 130 donations have been made to the account.
A statement from the account says “On the 7/11/2023 our lives changed drastically. Oscar Anderson suddenly passed due to a severe head injury suffered in a freak accident. As you can imagine this has impacted his family incredibly, the purpose of this gofundme is to help relief the financial stresses that come with arranging a funeral along with everything else”.
