North Las Vegas police opened fire, resulting in the death of a woman who was armed with a knife

A lady was shot and killed by police after they reported that she raced toward them while carrying a knife. According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, it occurred on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Basin Brook Drive close to MLK Boulevard and Gowan Road after multiple persons reported a stabbing in that area. Immediately prior to the shooting, two officers were interrogating an adult male victim in front of the house when an adult female suspect emerged from the front door of the house and began coming toward the officers while holding a huge knife above her head.
The officers fired their weapons in self-defense. The two officers stated that they issued numerous verbal instructions to the suspect, telling him to stop and to put the knife down. According to the police, cops opened fire on the lady after she refused to comply with their commands and proceeded to advance toward the officers who were fleeing while holding the knife above her head. After the woman had been shot, the police attempted to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until emergency medical services arrived.
The woman was transported to UMC, where she was subsequently pronounced dead by medical personnel there. This is the second shooting that has involved a law enforcement officer in 2023. After forty-eight hours, in accordance with the protocol of the NLVPD, the names of the officers who were involved will be made public.

The office of the Clark County Coroner has determined that the deceased individual was Ivan Trejo, a resident of Las Vegas who was 26 years old. Multiple gunshot wounds were what ultimately led to his passing. The Las Vegas Police Department is looking into a shooting that occurred early on Wednesday morning in a neighborhood close to Torrey Pines Drive and Flamingo Road. The incident resulted in the death of one individual and injured two others. The incident, which took place in the 4400 block of Libby Drive and was reported to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at around 4:34 a.m., was reported as having taken place.
At a house, responding cops discovered three persons suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the police. Two individuals, the conditions of which were unclear, were sent to the trauma unit of the University Medical Center. The third victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
