Nick Trinidad Death – Family and friends have taken to social media to mourn the death of Nick Trinidad who passed away recently. He died on Tuesday 7th November 2023 after a tragic accident leaving those that knew him devastated. He was confirmed dead through a post that says “My heart was broken again today with the news of such a traumatic loss. My thoughts go out to those affected by the tragic death of Nick Trinidad. More specifically to Hana and their children”.
How did the accident happen?
The fatal crash on U.S. 12 in Porter County, around 1:30 PM, Tuesday, prompted a call to the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team by Porter County Sheriff Jeff Balon. According to reports, the Porter County Sheriff’s Officers received a Flock Alert (License Plate Reader) indicating that a stolen 2022 Toyota Rav 4 was heading westbound on US Highway 12. While scouting the area by traveling eastbound on US Highway 12, the officers spotted the stolen vehicle passing them in the opposite direction.
In an attempt to stop the vehicle, the officers turned around and initiated a felony traffic stop, but the driver responded by accelerating at a rapid pace. Following a pursuit lasting approximately 2 minutes, the driver of the stolen vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle traveling eastbound on US Highway 12, resulting in the tragic passing of the male driver of the second vehicle, as confirmed by The Porter County Sheriff’s Department.
The identified driver of the stolen vehicle, Martell Harper (DOB 3/6/1986), was swiftly apprehended and taken to the hospital, later to be transferred to the Porter County Jail, where he faces multiple felony charges, according to the authorities. The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team has taken charge of investigating the fatal crash, while the Sheriff’s Department is handling the criminal investigation aspect of this unfortunate incident.
