New Milford Murder-Suicide – The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the New Milford Police Department are currently investigating a deadly incident that happened today, Saturday, the 7th of October 2023 at a private residence on Myrtle Avenue in New Milford.
According to reports, a male and a female were found unresponsive inside a Bergen County home. Officers from the New Milford Police Department responded to the residence for a welfare check around 4:15 p.m., according to reports.
When they entered the premises, they discovered the lifeless bodies of a male and a female. Both individuals were later pronounced dead. While authorities have identified them, their names are being withheld until their next of kin is notified.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation into this tragic incident, with Chief Jason Love leading the charge, in collaboration with the New Milford Police Department, led by Chief Brian Clancy. At this early stage, no additional information is available as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding these two deaths.
