According to the page, the purpose of this fundraiser is to help support these efforts as well as the Ng Family as they navigate this unfamiliar, terrifying situation. Any contribution, big or small, will go a long way in helping to do all they can to find Nancy and assure the Ng Family that they are not alone.
As of now, the funds will be directed towards the following: Rescue efforts, Helicopter search and rescue team, Equipment for volunteer divers, Boat rescue teams, Potential use of submarine and sonar equipment, Family support, Travel expenses in the event they need to travel to and from Guatemala and Financial support should family members need to take time off work
In the event that the search and rescue operations are not successful, the donations will be used to make arrangements for the funeral. Any money that is left over after expenses will be given to a charitable organization chosen by the Ng family.
