Nancy Morrow Charleston SC Obituary: Woman died in submerged vehicle during Sunday flooding

Nancy Morrow Death – A 72-year-old woman has died following a flooding incident that happened this past weekend. The victim has been identified as Nancy Morrow of Charleston, South Carolina. As reported, Nancy Morrow, a Mount Pleasant, South Carolina resident, passed away after being trapped in a submerged vehicle during Sunday night’s heavy rainfall.

How did the incident happen?

Mount Pleasant Police were called to Omni Boulevard in the Ravens Run area just before 1 p.m. in response to a report of an individual trapped inside a fully submerged vehicle, as detailed in an incident report.

Two officers, along with members of the Mount Pleasant Fire Department, entered the floodwater and reached the vehicle in an effort to rescue the victim. After successfully bringing the person to dry land, officers administered CPR.

Nancy Morrow’s cause of death

She died on Sunday afternoon from asphyxia from drowning at East Cooper Medical Center at approximately 1:46 p.m. This is a developing story. We will update this article as soon as more information becomes available.
