Morton Plant Hospital Suicide – At around 8 am on Thursday, June 8, 2023, the Clearwater Police Department received a report of an incident at Morton Plant Hospital located at 300 Pinellas Street. Sadly, an adult male lost his life due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. It’s important to note that the deceased individual was not a hospital patient, and the incident occurred outside on the hospital’s west side. It’s worth mentioning that the hospital is operating as usual, and there’s no reason for patients or staff members to be concerned about their safety or health. Thankfully, no one else was injured during the incident.
