Monticello Shooting: Man in critical condition, heavy police at Fareway Stores in Monticello Iowa

Monticello Shooting Investigations – A person has trasnported to an area hospital in a critical condition following a shooting at Fareway Stores in Monticello, Iowa Tuesday. According to reports, the Fareway Stores Monticello located at the 433 N Farley St, Monticello, IA has been closed for today after a person was shot at the location. Following the incident, school campus in the area has been placed on an immediate lockdown.

According to reports, a heavy police presence is now at the area where everyone has been asked to avoid. The  Fareway Stores Monticello (Monticello, IA) announced that the store is closed following the incident; ” Due to unforeseen circumstances we are temporarily closed.” The incident happened outside the store.

According to an anonymous tips, all employees of the establishment are safe and not connected to the incident at this time. The investigations is at a preliminary stage. The article initially reported that the victim involved in the incident has passed away following reports from unverified sources. Meanwhile, according to an anonymous person close to the family confirmed that the victim only identified as a male is in critical condition.
