Mohammad Akbar Akbarzada Death – Tommy Douglas Secondary School student Mohammad Akbar Akbarzada of Vaughan, Ontario has sadly passed away at the age of 15. He died after being struck by two vehicles on Thursday 18th January 2024 leaving family and friends in shock and disbelief. He was confirmed dead through various publication made on social media. According to the York Regional Police, the incident took place in the neighborhood of Weston Road and Villa Royale Avenue, which is located immediately south of Major Mackenzie Drive.
How did the accident happen?
In response to the distress call that was received at 7:24 in the morning, emergency responders arrived at the location in a timely manner. The teenager was found to be suffering from significant injuries that were potentially fatal when rescue workers arrived on the scene. The victim was confirmed dead despite the rapid efforts that were made to take him to a trauma facility following the accident. The deadly accident was reported to have involved at least two automobiles, both of which remained at the scene of the accident, according to the police.
According to Constable Lisa Moskaluk, it is believed that the first incident happened with the first car, which resulted in the youngster being thrown, and that this was followed by a further collision with a second vehicle. This unfortunate tragedy is still being investigated, and the circumstances surrounding it are still being looked into.

A GoFundMe account has been created by Shelley Tu on behalf of Suhaila Akbarzada on Friday 19th January 2024 in order to assist the deceased family in these trying times. The goal of the fundraiser was set to raise the sum of $40,000 but as at the time this report was made the sum of $67,560 has been raised with the help of 1.3K generous individual. A statement from the account says “Hi, my name is Shelley and I am raising funds to help with the tragic loss of our co-workers beloved son. Suhaila’s 15 year old son has tragically passed away while walking to school in the area of Weston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive”.
The body of the late deceased will be bury on Sunday, January 21, 2024, around 1:30 PM or 2:00 PM at the Toronto Muslim Cemetery, 13076 Leslie St, Richmond Hill, ON L4E 1A2.
