Karlie Guse Missing – Since the 16-year-old Karlie Gusé left her house in California in the early morning hours of October 13, 2018, the investigation into her disappearance has been a source of consternation for the authorities. Karlie and her friends had gone out to a party the night before, and when they picked her up at her house, she appeared confused.

Her father, Zac Gusé, had a sneaking suspicion that another substance was mixed in with the marijuana his daughter admitted to ingesting. Her stepmother, Melissa Gusé, produced an audio tape of Karlie to play for her after she resumed her usual behaviour in order to demonstrate to the young woman the effects that the drugs had had on her behaviour.

However, she never had the chance to do so. Karlie left the family’s remote house in Mono County that morning, when a worried Melissa was dozing off after spending hours in Karlie’s room with her, and she never came back. Melissa was anxious about Karlie.

After leaving her house, witnesses last saw Karlie heading south around 30 yards east of Highway 6 and 100 yards south of Sierra View Road. After that, she vanished from view. Since that time, however, there has been no sign of the adolescent who cherished the time she spent with her brothers and who delighted in watching horror movies.

The episode of People Magazine Investigates that will run tonight is titled “The Strange Disappearance of Karlie Gusé,” and it will be broadcast on Investigation Discovery and streamed on Max at 9 p.m. Eastern Time (8:00 p.m. Central Time).
