Michael Lantsman Death – Member of Parliament for Thornhill Melissa Lantsman’s father Michael Lantsman has sadly passed away on Saturday 13th January 2024 surrounded by his beloved family. Hew was announced dead by his daughter through a post that says “Yesterday, my brother Ed and I and our families lost our father, our mentor, our teacher, our confidante and our biggest fan. Michael Lantsman BDE, Thank you for the all the kind messages and support”,. The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of Michael Lantsman’s death has not been released.

Who is Melissa Lantsman?

After finishing her undergraduate degree, Lantsman continued her education by earning master degrees from the University of Ottawa and the Rotman School of Management. She worked her way up the corporate ladder and eventually served as a communications advisor to several members of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s cabinet during the 28th Canadian Ministry. After that, she was the provincial party’s lead spokesman in the 2018 Ontario election and a senior advisor to the Progressive Conservatives of Ontario.

Enterprise Canada was a leading strategic communications agency, and Lantsman was its National Vice President of Public Affairs before he entered politics. She made history on September 20, 2021, when she successfully won a parliamentary seat; she took office on October 28, 2021. Since November of that year, Lantsman has been serving in the Opposition Shadow Cabinet headed by Erin O’Toole as the Shadow Minister of Transport.

Since Lantsman was chosen as the vice-chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, her connection with the legislature goes beyond her ministerial duties. With her diverse background and extensive skills, she is a prominent role in Canada’s political arena when it comes to transportation and infrastructure policymaking.
