Michael Huff Death – Family and friends are mourning the death of a well-known officer with the Glendale Heights Police Department and his partner who passed away in deadly domestic incident over the weekend. Police Sergeant Michael “Mike” Huff and his wife died in what law enforcement agencies are investigating as murder-suicide, shooting.
According to law enforcement agencies, officers from the Glendale Heights Police Department and Will County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene of a shooting at a location in Homer Glen, Will County, Illinois. Law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene of the incident where they located a man dead from self-inflicted injury, a second body was located with injuries consistent with gunshot.
Law enforcement agencies determined that the male shot and killed the female before turning the weapon on himself. The male in the incident was identified as longtime Glendale Heights Police Department officer Michael Huff. Mike was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and a DuPage County, Illinois resident.
Officer Michael Huff was promoted to Sergeant on June 2, 2022. The department held a party to honor him.
Michael has been a police officer for 20 years. Glendale Heights police Officer Mike Huff and his wife were parents to two children.
