A 37-year-old male was shot and killed in a parking garage in Fairfax County on Friday after an argument. The suspect is in custody. Thursday night at approximately 11 p.m., Fair Oaks District FCPD officers were dispatched to the top floor of a parking garage in the 13300 block of Launders Street in the McNair neighbourhood.
Authorities discovered Robert Fisher suffering from upper-body gunshot wounds. According to police, despite efforts to administer first aid, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Chief of Police of the FCPD, Kevin Davis, stated that Fisher’s daughter was nearby and heard gunfire prior to contacting 911.
As authorities began searching the area, the alleged gunman, 40-year-old Major Feheem Stokes, called 911, according to police. Shortly thereafter, law enforcement recognized Stokes and apprehended him without incident.
According to police, Stokes was taken to the Adult Detention Centre and held without parole. Davis stated that Stokes and Fisher were longstanding associates and friends. Friday, the FCPD initially reported that the two may have been brothers.
In this case, no weapon has been recovered. The shooting is still being investigated. No additional information was immediately available.
