Responding to a call shortly before 11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Glandore Drive to conduct a welfare check on a man, as stated by the police. Within the residence, officers encountered a grim scene where two women had been fatally shot.

What happened in St. Louis County

The victims were identified as 64-year-old Mary Raab and 27-year-old Claire Gyurkikiss. Additionally, the lifeless body of Paul Gyurkikiss, aged 61, was also discovered within the residence. The preliminary investigation indicates that Paul Gyurkikiss was responsible for the shootings of both women before turning the weapon on himself. Another heart-wrenching event unfolded on May 1st when 60-year-old Cheryl Washington was fatally shot by 61-year-old Dana Haney, who subsequently ended his own life. Reflecting on 2022, St. Louis County police had to contend with five murder-suicide cases.
